    AB 1388 OV fault

I am working on a Star grinder. 6 axis machine. Runs OK, but I get a OV fault on the servo drive if I run higher than 80%. I know it's an "overvoltage" fault. I'm wondering if I can adjust the decel time on these drives. Allen Bradley 1388. The only thing I can find in the manual is a Velocity Gain potentiometer to adjust the dynamic gain of the drive. That doesn't seem to have any effect.

    Re: AB 1388 OV fault

Is this an AC powered drive, or run off a common DC buss ? Can you monitor the DC bus with a voltmeter
Is there a braking resistor circuit on the machine ?

If the drives are old, capacitors can dry up and cause bus problems.
