Re: NEED SUGGESTIONS ON BUYING CNC.ROUTER.

    Option 1 for sure!

By way of example, we have 2 Tekcel cnc's at work. One has a 2 x 3m bed and ATC, the other 1.3 x 2.5m bed and manual tool change.

In the last 2 years I used the smaller machine only once. And that was for just a couple of days, running only the crucial jobs that could not be postponed. (while waiting for spare parts for the bigger machine)

Since the ATC machine was fixed, the smaller one is just a storage rack again.

You will not believe how much ATC and vacuum hold down can increase production AND quality. Especially when running large volumes of ACM that has to be grooved and contour cut.....

    Thank you for the suggestion.
I have asked techno peoples. They said techno lc series is discontinue model.
And if u need any parts in future it will difficult to get.

Annother thing is the lc series gantry height is only 12.7 cm but the techno hd series had 20 cm gantry height does this make difference in work.

    Thank.you

    M. Abid,

Armor CNC is in business to service and keep the old Techno machines running. We are the engineers who were at Techno for 26 and 11 years, each. We have all the parts necessary and the knowhow to troubleshoot any issues. Moreover, we can repair damaged parts that other companies would replace, especially motors and circuit boards, which can save $$$$.
We provide support 7 days a week, 7am thru 10PM EST.

As far as gantry height, if you have the higher gantry, you have the ability to run thicker materials. A higher gantry can be less rigid in certain circumstances, so if you don't need thicker materials, you might want to stick with the lower height. It might not be important - what materials are you planning on cutting?

If you have any other questions, drop us a line! info [at] armorcnc.com

Re: NEED SUGGESTIONS ON BUYING CNC.ROUTER.

I've heard getting parts for the old techno machines should be no problem. But aside from armors post, I just got a pretty old techno machine, and other then the long ball screw being pretty badly rusted the machine is very nice. The long ball screw can be had direct from THK or who ever it was. .

All that said, if the standard electronics ever do die I will be converting mine to a control from dynomotion and giving it some servos that are more worthy of a machine this size. How ever at this point I would still expect the stock electronics to out live me so will probably never actually end up converting the machine...

I chose the older techno, mostly because, I always wanted one... ha..

Re: NEED SUGGESTIONS ON BUYING CNC.ROUTER.

A good bet for keeping any electronics humming for a long long time is to get proper surge suppression installed. Whole building units can be installed for far less than the cost of replacement due to power surge or lightning strike. Speak with a licensed electrician for more information about your needs.

The older Techno controllers operate off a standard 110v plug, so you can use an everyday power strip on them, but having a whole building suppressor is a good idea.

Re: NEED SUGGESTIONS ON BUYING CNC.ROUTER.

    Good day,

The drive is an analog brushed motor drive from Copley.

The motor.. over the years, many different motor manufacturers were used, some were better than others... Some caused a lot of grief due to poor manufacturing!

Armor stocks all of the motors for the original Techno machines, and we chose the manufacturer with the best track record.

I hope this helps, if you need anything else, contact us directly, info at armorcnc . com - we answer emails/calls 7 days a week.

Re: NEED SUGGESTIONS ON BUYING CNC.ROUTER.

I have option to buy the lc series 78120 cnc router with atc spindle.

I saw the machine its has dynetic brushed servo motors.
so question is inside the control box there is drives like now a days in cnc routers like yaska wa servo drives or there is one circuit board where all the cabled attached from the motors.

Other option is to buy new hd series cnc router.

Re: NEED SUGGESTIONS ON BUYING CNC.ROUTER.

Inside the control box will be one circuit board with the drives mounted on it if it is one of the relatively new ones (2008-ish on), or a large silver box with the drives on rails to attach to the board (older versions)

OK, email us the image. info at armorcnc . com

I'll let you know, based on which box it is. Is the board missing or damaged? They very rarely go bad, unless they're hit by lightning or a forklift.
