I just picked up 2 sheets 5x8 foot phenolic 3/4 inch thick for $100 each. This is a awesome deal. I found it by looking up the word phenolic in the Winston Salem Nc craigslist. It is located near mocksville Nc. If your near this area and would like to make a permanent table top for your router or a awesome vacuum table this is so far superior to mdf and plywood it's not even comparable. He has 25"x8' for 60dollars and 25"x10' for 70. He also has 5'x8' for 100 and 5'x10' for 120. It is advertised as countertop material and is used in restaurants. I purchased 2 5x8 footers and cut off a 24x60 inch piece. This is actual solid phenolic and not just laminated presswood. It comes in 1/2 and 3/4 thick and thickness doesn't affect price.

I just thought I would put that out there for anyone local to consider.

That is a great deal especially if it is the black XXX phenolic. We use that for insulation inside rocket motors. Tough stuff!
