We have an old mazak T2. The machine is alarming out on occasion. The Fanuc AC Spindle Servo Drive is showing the Alarm 1 led lighted. The display shows alarm 204. That tells you to clear the alarm and cycle the power. I want to know what the alarm LED 1 is telling me on the drive. Can anyone help me with this. Our manuals tell me nothing about the controller. I would appreciate any help or input.

Hi David,

The alarm the Spindle drive is showing means the motor is overheating. You will want to start by doing some basic troubleshooting beginning with checking the motor cables.
