on our cnc mill with yasnac i80m, i am able to download programs from control to pc no problem but not other way around, i tried for several days every single combination of baud rates, parity, handshake method, stop bit, but no success, my cable is 9 pin to 25 pin null modem cable, with INPUT flashing on the screen i can see a single character flowing to control, i have checked with serial port monitoring software that correct data is output to port, with correct header and trailer characters, we are really stuck.

i have looked at those and many other threads and tried many setting combinations, also played with parameter settings on parameters page, i disabled every check on incoming stream, no result. In addition to null cable, i also made one where only 2,3 and 5 is tied to other side. I removed the intermediate cable from panel to control, so that is left is one bare bones DB9 to DB9 cable. Still it didnt work, i ran out of possibilities, if there were a floppy disk alternative i would have given up long ago.

Is your PC Comm software set to use any kind of handshaking (XON/XOFF, RTS/CTS, DC Codes, Hardware, Software, etc.)?

i have tried with software handshake on and off, tried with hardware handshake on and off, but when i set to hardware handshake, sending software on the PC is not able to start sending, meaning it can get the handshae thru, i use standart db9male to db 9 female cable, connectod the db9 connector inside the cabinet
