    Fanuc O-m Alarm 1006

    Hi guys,

We just acquired a fanuc O-M drill mate, put power to it, and it shows an alarm 1006 tool clamp alarm. There is no tool in the spindle. Can anyone give us some suggestions on how to release this alarm?
    Thx.

Hi ! generally on any power drewbar of any cnc machine you have 3 or 2 proximity switch or micro switch . this sensor responsible to find out tool inside the spindle or not ..

1006 alarms is not the fanuc alarm this manufacturer configurated alaram for such kind of things like that

i thinks please check before any things , the sensor that responsible to above mention working of power drewbar system
after that check for right signal to any sensor for example tool clamp open and close
and at last check the air presurre or hydrulic pressure .

    regards

Like mr. Sharifi said, if the system that do clamp/unclamp tool is hydraulic, check if the phases in the input of machine are correct (R S T). Is has any phase changed, (like R T S), the hydraulic pump will be start, but in the wrong side. Check these !!!

The fanuc OM Drillmate is all mechanical on the drawbar. To release the alarm you should actuate then release the estop. There is a diagnostic bit to bypass this alarm so you can toolchange to a pocket with a tool in it.
