Hi all

I`m getting ready to rework my control panel. I`m looking to start and stop the machine with
a magnetic starter. I`m looking for sources and the necessary specifications to start and stop
a 115 Ac line at 15 amps. I basically know little regarding magnetic starters.

Here all is revealed, you can get starters/contactors like telemecanique with add on O/L's that fit to the bottom of the starter.

I just received my 3 pole 115 volt contactor from Automation Direct. I found some videos online.
I used the videos to create a wiring diagram. I`m hoping someone could check my diagram.

Poorly illustrated as far as clarity, but looks good as far as functionality.

Your NO push button switch should pull the coil in and close 83-NO-84, and your NC push button (PB) switch is closed and latches or holds the coil keeping 83-NO-84 closed, until NC PB pushed to open the circuit, unlatching or releasing the coil and 83-NO-84 returns open.

To help reduce EMI noise in your cabinet you may consider a flyback diode or other RC Snubber circuit for your coil.

The link I posted had it on p4 among others.
True about the RC snubber across the coil if AC, you can only use a rectifier if the coil is DC.
