    Cool DeskProto

I been using DESKproto for about a week now and have determined its pretty lame for the price they want for rotary machining.
I made 2 identicle programs from a stl file-ran one in deskproto and 1 in Meshcam Art & meshcam kicked its ass big time.
I used the same depth cuts in both cams also. I thought I would just pass this along ,no favoritism intended.
proper planning prevents piss poor performance

LOL ...hey Speedtwin69, perhaps you (like all good trolls) should stick with CAM4 when it comes to CNC ...

    Re: DeskProto

I don't think this post needs to be taken very seriously. DeskProto can write continuous rotary toolpaths in a couple of different modes, MeshCAM, while it's capable of producing toolpaths that use an indexed fourth axis (where the 4th axis is stationary during milling), doesn't do rotary machining at all: Does MeshCAM support a 4th or 5th axis?
