The farther you get away from the center of the rails the greater the play will be. Keep in mind .001" play over width of your linear rail (if your linear rail is 1" wide) is approx .012" at 12"s from center of truck. This can show up in the cut. Running a 'dual' rail like that can cut down on the play you can generate. But it collects dust at the top of the rail like you wouldn't believe. Its like a easy way to control a Y axis backlash with the gear rack between the rails. It does cut don't on the rigidity of the system to have the very lower part of the Z axis so far from the start of the first rail and a 90 degree angle from it. You would be better served to have the lower rail at the bottom of the Z axis back panel and the upper rail at as close as you can to the top of the Z axis back panel.
Sure there are some positions where the gain isn't worth the extra weight. But rails up like that usually mean the trucks wont last long or will need much more greasing or oiling.
