Controller does not display 3D G-codes MultiCam 5000

    Hi,

I just started working with a MultiCam 5000 table.

At work thay only use it for 2D jobb's. So they only have the Enroute 2D software.

In my private shop, I use RhinoCAM 1, and Rhino 4, When I post a 3d(3 axis) relief to a .cnc file and open it in the MultiCAM controller,
I see only a small dot/pixel on the hand controller display.

When I open the CNC file in the "Jobb editor" nothing is displayed, I even tried to cut and paste the initial g-codes from G90 etc. from a 2d .cnc file that was produced by Enroute.
Stil it would not display annything in the jobb editor.

In RhinoCam I use the MultiCam post. RhinoCam support says, there is nothing wrong with the MulitCam post, only that I may have to change to positive tooldown. (tool down = +1)

I did not dare to test it yet.

Does anybody know anything about what could be causing the empty display?

    Thanx for the help!

    I havent yet.
I really wanted that job, so i dont want to take any chanses yet. With my own 3 axis table, I have experienced the tool going right through the table ones.

I am in a dialog with RhinoCAM support, and when I changed the MultiCam-post in RhinoCAM to to Metric, i magaged to get visual resoults in MultiCam's "Job Editor" software.
I might dare to trie a test run with that file.

In order to make the RhinoCAM's MultiCam-post to work properly i then got these instructions from RhinoCAM support:

"Thanks for the update. You can edit the post processor & make the following changes to your Multicam post.

General tab : Change Metric code from G71 to G70

Start/end tab make the following changes.
Add G75 by inserting a line above M12

    Program End code

    Insert G98 P147 D1 after M22.

Save the post processor & post the code."

I am not shure If "G98 P147 D1" should be wrtitten separate lines, or on the same line.
In separate lines I suppose, Il trie to do that, and/or ask them how spesificaly to do it..
