    On surface

    Attachment 256848
    Attachment 256850

I'm trying to route these F holes in an arched plate. This is a 3-D model. I am attempting to use the along curves function. I am using a 0.062 em. I want to step down approximately 0.031. The plate is 0.19 inches. So it should take seven passes to cut through.

However for some reason it stops after one pass. And it looks like the toolpath is not following the plate arching

I've done this before so I know it can be done.

    Any help would be appreciated

And then I learned it's better to use the curves on the top of the surface and put in negative number in the raise z

Negative value or not depends on your 2D settings. Absolute vs relative...

    Re: On surface

I think the positive value raised z will work better now that I think about it. Because it will cut some air in the beginning but it will only lower the Z to the surface of the spoil board. The second way will cut into the spoil board is that correct.
