    5V Signals to 24V Signals Converter

    Hello,
    I am trying to make use of some Berger Lahr WD3-007.0501 230VAC 24V-signal-input drivers. The problem is that the LPT only outputs 5V signals, while the WD3 requires signals. Is there a way to convert the usual LPT BOB 5V signals to 24V signals?

    The specs of the driver pulses should be:
    Voltage Control
    Uhigh, min 20 V
    Uhigh, max 30 V
    Ulow, max 3 V
    Ulow, min -30V
    Imax = 30 mA
    Current Control
    Ihigh, min 7 mA
    Ihigh, max 15 mA
    Ilow, max 0.2 mA
    Ilow, min -25 mA
    Umax = 5.25 V

    Controlled by the PLC of the old machine I pulled them from, the drivers work fine and the motors move fine. The WD3 driver is pair with a KSO 30 oscillator, which can be dropped if the WD3 is controlled by my BOB.

    On of the easiest ways is to use a simple 24v supply, you don't necessarily need regulated supply, then use either individual method using a 2n7000's between the P.P. and the drive, or in a ULN2003 in one unit.
    The inputs to the drive can be set up in sink or source method, in your case the 2n7000 etc would be sink mode and the drive would be in source mode.

    For instance, the 2N7000. Is the 2N7000 enough, or should I consider extra stages for the conversion circuit (pull-ups, filters, regulators, etc)?

    Also, do you know any pre-made circuit layout/schematics? Maybe somebody bumped into this same problem before.

    The input for 24v show 7ma-15ma, so presumably the series resistors are in place for the opto's, the 2n7000 can provide up to 200ma drain current.
    You should not require anything else in the way of filters etc.
    You may be able to find a BOB of some kind, but if the parts are available to you, it would be much cheaper to DIY.

    Sounds easy, I was expecting a lot more fuss to bump up the 5V from the BOB. I will order a couple of 2N7000 and I will bridge them between the BOB and the Berger Lahr drive. Thanks for the help.
