    APC 306 Battery zero alarm

    2006 Mag Fadal

Fired it up after sitting about a month and a half. Got the zero battery alarm. Am I screwed or will it be ok once the new battery arrives and I install it?

You will have to reset your zero positions. What control? I use the battery from an emergency light, cheap and lasts much longer then the originals.

Going of the top of my head here, so you may want to double check me on this.

If the machine is already in home position on start up then it will make this easier. If not, you'll have to fire it up and manually jog it to home position.

Start by enabling parameter write. Make sure you're in MDI mode for this.
With the machine in home position in X, Y and Z hit the settings key until you get to the quick settings page and select the axis settings page.
Once in the parameters page, type 1815 and hit "offset search". This will bring you to the parameters for X,Y,Z zero setting.
Highlight the first axis (X) which will have a zero in it, then hit 1>input (or the input soft key) and the 0 will change to 1.
Turn off the control then turn it back on.
    Repeat for all other axes.

    Exactly

On this machine I had to turn bit 3 and 4 in each of the columns for x,y,z to zero then back to one.

Pretty easy if I could figure it out.
