    Can I plug a laptop with Mach3 into this?

    I have a lathe with a PC, a dongle and some proprietary software that I like to replace with a laptop and Mach3 software. (USB if possible but serial cable is okay too.) Is anyone familiar enough with the components in the image I've attached to tell me if it's something that can be pretty easily done, and maybe how to do it? Is it just a matter of plugging in a cable and setting up the software?

    Just looking at the photo of the drives Etc, Mach 3 by it's self would not be able to run your machine, Your Drives Etc need to be able to use Step/Dir, there are Breakout Boards that you could use
    Galil would be one, that could run your machine & use Mach 3
