Yeah i agree with philbur there on the flex at the base. It would have been nice if they brought those plates on down base feet and just make it a stiff column(no 45%angle crap)

Anyone know the BF20 mill column?

Anyone know what column attachment type the BF20 mill is? The head rotates at the head attach point, not at the column attach point like the X2.

What I was thinking was using this column to replace an X2 column...Just need to know the interface. Also it lookks like the column is stiffer beefier, but does anyone know for sure? Any dimensions, or any owner of the optimum BF20 wanna scan their manual?

don't know right now, but if the column would be interchangeable and stifffer than the X2 column, I'd find the BF20 believe me

No really, You can get a BF20 from chinese suppliers (ther made ther), similiar to getting a Syil shipping from china. The Bf20 is a relatively new import mill that really hasnt come to market yet I believe...

I's like to see some specs on it...hmmm

Found some pics of the column mounting:

Different mounting, looks like a nicer design than the x2, head has rpm and depth quill, rotation at the head...

Thats the BF16, this is the bf20 http://www.optimum-maschinen.de/prod...n/3/index.html
    Optimum Maschinen: BF20 VARIO / BF20 L VARIO

Noticed the z handle on the side of the column and the bigger table.
