Controller and software upgrade for Multicam Series IIS

    Hi,
we have a Multicam cnc router running the sucky old win95/toolpath software and controller

Has anyone upgraded one of these or similar machine?

I'm leaning towards the ART system with the touch screen set up ..... not sure I like the one Multicam is selling - (a win XP controller with EnrouteCAM but no touch screen for $8500 installed)

I'd be interested in opinions/advice from those with experience in a similar upgrade

    Cheers

    John

Yep - the amazing Justin and Enzo at Vermec Engineering kipparing did an upgrade that replaced the spindle, stop switches, and other assorted bits and added a solid state computer and touch screen controller running Mach 3. We added the V Carve pro software at their recommendation - It is now an amazing machine that we use nearly every day in our classes. The guys at vermec specialise in this sort of work as well as manufacturing cnc machines that are miles above the cheap chinese rubbish in quality and performance. Their after sales support has been faultless as well. couldn't be happier
