unused axis and shortcuts with 540BVFD profile

1- When using the 540BVFD profile ,if the A axis is not used is it better to disable it under ports and pins or can it stay
checked enable with nothing connected to the BD9 connector?

2- I did create a clone profile named "my cnc" that appear under current profiles in Mach3 loader session profile.
can I create a shortcut for "my cnc" so I dont have to go through Mach3 loader every session?

    1) It probably doesn't matter, but I'd disable it.

    2) Yes and No. You can, but it won't work if there's a space in the profile name. Remove the space, and set the target in your shortcut to:

    c:\mach3\mach3.exe /p mycnc

Re: unused axis and shortcuts with 540BVFD profile

Is there a profile made up for a home made cnc router without VFDrive ? If not what other pins should be unabled in the 540BVFD profile? Im using bobcad cam ver 23 , mach3 without atc post -processor

My first build was always receiving error messages from mach 3 mainly about spindle settings , do spin cw , speed to low for belts , rpm=0 , stuff like that , only recently did I start changing some setting in cam that helped.
