RFQ Lathe Turned (Swiss?) Production Parts

Hello all. We have been machining these in house hand loading into a VMC and mill turning, which is fast enough but it takes us 5 operations that way and should only take be significantly faster on an appropriate lathe considering how little work there is.

Bar is .297 O1 Annealed Tool Steel. No OD turning. Just face, chamfer, chamfer back, cut off. Burrs are A-OK all around as they will be tumbled in house upon arrival, EXCEPT no pip on the indicated face as it is referenced on the next operation.

Please quote 500pc qty for the first few runs (every few weeks), and 2,000 pc (per month/2months?) after the first few runs.

Material supplied in 36 or 48 inch lengths. Currently I buy 36" but have quotes out for 48" also.

RFQ Lathe Turned (Swiss?) Production Parts

Hi, I forgot to mention in my quote that I was planning to precision surface grinding the parts on a cnc cylindrical grinder. Also your pm box is full. Cheers.

Definitely don't need anything near that level of precision or and on turning for that matter. Just need raw bar cut to length, one end faced, both ends chamfered.

I think I have my vendor for these already. Still testing the machining processes, hardening then coating on the samples.
