I am in need of freeware/web based software to draw up plans for three simple parts that each need to have a specific weight. If someone can do that for me for a small fee, please PM me.

I need three separate parts, each one weighing 1oz, 3oz and 6oz respectively. The material is 1.5" SS round rod. Each piece will be centered drilled and threaded. For aesthetic purposes only, a small "cut" will be made on the outside of the finished piece, proportionately/equal width across the 3oz and 6oz piece. I need to know what dimensions, length primarily, I would need to achieve the desired weight of each piece.

I don’t have the means to machine the parts myself and draw up the plans, lathe is a small one and not up to mass production. The person doing my machine work is in another state and only works from plans. The images attached are what I'm after.

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated and thanks for your time!

This should be a pretty easy calculation to do manually. To get you started, look up the density of whatever grade of SS you want to use, figure out the volume needed for each weight and play around with V = pi()*D^2/4xH to get acceptable diameters and heights.

I was incorrect on the tolerance, needing it to be +/- .1

While I appreciate all the ideas, I'm still looking for someone to work with to draw up the plans. Anyone?
