Running CNC as usual...after finishing a part and chucking on next piece, machine stopped reading canned cycle when it gets to G00 line. Machine was not crashed, no power outage or overload. From one part to the next just stopped working. I have checked fuses and belts and there is nothing damaged. There are no alarms. A technician came out but was not able to find a problem. Has anyone dealt with this before?

Can you put up the NC code ?

What machine & control ?
Is the Rapid or Feed override switch turned to zero ?

FEMCO HL-55 with FANUC oi-TC controls.
Rapid and Feed override not on zero.
Program is loaded properly and no changes made. Ran 4 parts complete before the problems began.

Check the System Diagnostic and see if any bits are turned at at the time that this happens. Press the System Function button then press the Diagnostic soft key to view

In the diagnostic screen the only lines that change are motion and interlock/start-lock...both go from 0 to 1, everything else stays at 0. thanks.

You need to look at the ladder when machine is in this state. Check coil G8.0 and G130.0, G130.1 G130.2 If any of these are off you will have this condition. G8.0 stops all axes from moving while G130's are per axis, X, Y, Z. There is a parameter you can change to bypass these but you risk damage to your machine as the interlocks are preventing an axis from moving if the machine is in the wrong state
