Wink Help-- Breakout Board IDC 10, 26, 34, 50 pins

    Hi guys,
I have this Delta Tau motion controller card that has 10, 26, 34, 50 pins females IDC pins that need to be connect to motors/drive, etc.....
Problem is I could either connect it directly thru the IDC connector but it will be extremely difficult for unskilled soldering person like me.

    Or
I have been told that I can get breakout board out there, but I have checked thru website like Phoenix, etc...it cost 80-90 bucks per board!!!
    Yike..
Any suggestion or where to get it cheaper for 10, 26, 34, 50 pins?
    Help is appreciated it.

The down-and-dirty cheapest way is to make up ribbons with the IDC connectors one end, the other end, strip the ribbon cable into individual conductors and solder into a proto type board like vero etc. these have strips of .1" traces which can be populated with .2" terminal strips.
Otherwise it is to keep an eye out on eBay for IDC break-outs.

This company has lots of good stuff, much cheaper:

    www.asi-interconnect.com

We have an account there, so I checked on prices:

    10 pin IDC breakout - $17.73
    26 pin - $24.38
    34 pin - $27.48
    60 pin - $40.95
