    Fanuc editing software

I don't know if this has come up before or not, but several times a year we have to do special interfacing between our machines and external devices. Our older machines were able to do onboard ladder edits so I could modify and add inputs to the custom user macros to monitor bits. The new machines have the edit functions locked out so we can not do the edits and the user custom macros #1000 - #1015) are not brought out to external inputs so I need to find a way to edit the ladder once I download it from the machine. I am looking for suggestions if anyone has used a ladder edit program. I know there is Fanuc ladder III but have not priced it yet but don't know if there are any other software packages available. Thanks

think your stuck with fanuc ladder 3. its roughly 1500 for the software, but a word of caution, if the ladder is factory locked, you still cant edit it without the passcode.

Right now we are working on a Mori DuriVertical with a Fanuc 0i control. I can upload and download the ladder but the onboard edit functions do not become active. I have a Mighty Viper mill that I have edited to allow us to monitor the user macro inputs so we can check part seating switches on the fixture and would like to do the same with this machine.

many newer Fanuc controls have the ladder editing software as an option; I don't have the list for that control.

You should already have fixture inputs on the I/o and d data parameters to turn the ladder check on and off for those inputs. Should be listed in the back of the ladder.
