    IH mill lost weight?

Ive been wanting to order the IH mill for a while . Recently that maybe possible. As Im searching Charter oaks site Ive noticed that there mill has taken a dramatic weight loss of almost 300 lbs. vs there old machine and the MTW001.
Any one else notice this? Thats really a deal breaker for me.

300 lbs that's a lot. Well I bought 2 of them a few days ago and should be delivered or should I say in town tomorrow. I have to have a lift gate delivery so I'll need to make the appointment for delivery to the house. But since I've never seen an old 1000 lb. model it will be hard for me to see any difference. I have an email in to Paul at Charter for some clarification on the weight loss. It's not a deal breaker but I would like to know. If anyone is in Southern California by LAX and has an older I.H. you are welcome to come over and check out my machines and maybe shed some light for the the other guys on the Zone. I am going to CNC one and have no idea what I'm going to do with the other yet. It may be for sale.

    Re: IH mill lost weight?

As the story goes . The supplier of the IH mills to IH and mtw tried to pull a fast one on a batch once. Tommy told me things were corrected.
Mtw once wrote about this also.
I live 5 mins from charter oak and would rather import one from mtw rather than lose 300 lbs of cast weight.
I spoke with the new owners. Maybe they can get the issue resolved maybe not.
