    Which Update is enough?

Thinking of updating and am wondering which version is right for me. My work is Job Shop Typical and mostly 2D from one part to very small lot. Is 2D Express sufficient or should I pony the extra for 3D Standard? Also will 2D standard allow you to draw (not generate) and follow 3D toolpath? Any help on the matter is greatly appreciated.

    Idiod,

I would recommend the Standard version. It will unlock 2D high speed toolpaths, offer more stock wizard options and allow for 3D roughing and finishing toolpaths. I think if you get the express software you miss out on a few of these features that could make the difference in your shop and it's day to day programming. With that said the express is a lower cost solution and maybe it's what you start with.

    1) Express and standard have the same CAD features
    2) You get 1 3D toolpath with express ( planar )

Thanks for your reply, I am probably going to try to get the standard so I can get the high speed toolpaths. Just a quick question do you have a video showing how to draw and follow a 3D toolpath that the software has not generated. If not, can it be done and how? I have watched several of your tutorials and all of the code is written off of software generated toolpaths. Thanks
