Hi folks, cant find a dedicated noob section so I'll say it here! Hello!!

I work at a welding shop and we've just taken delivery of a cnc lathe with Fagor 8025 control to have a play with (got it cheap!!) that none us are familiar with!!
Just had it wired in and the unit turns on but seems unreponsive. Any ideas what it could be? Was seen working in the shop it came out of.

Maybe the batteries died and you have to reload settings

You control has an internal problem. There is no memory format procedure in 8025 control. If the control doens't start there is a problem.

I believe this may be a bad EPROM, specifically the character generator

8025 does had a format procedure, but the control must boot up. it is a code that has to be entered via the lock/unlock option which is under op mode 6 I believe. The code is pcall, it will revert all setting back to factory. You must have software 5.2 or newer for this feature to work.

Only last versions has that function. The control has to boot up and you can input all the parameters and the machine start again, If the CNC has PLCI and the program is not saving in e2prom, big problem.
The code is not PCALL.
