    CAMBAM surface files?

    Hey guys,

    Im very new to CNC and am looking for a 3d cam software. I was recommended CAMBAM and watched a few you tube vids and looks great and simple! My only concern is CAMBAM does not support surface or solid format files? or does it?

    The parts I want to machine are being 3d scanned and the guy thats scanning them for me can supply them in STL and triangulate the surface model to a very fine tolerance. Does CAMBAM have a limit on file size/ number of triangles?. Can it read 10 mb or 250,000 triangles at all?

    Or should I be looking for a cam software that reads surface files?

    Any help will be super!

    Cambam is great for 3d. It imports STL,3DS and RAW files. See link below.
