How to calculate flex of guide rail without suppport

I have a thk 20mm linear guide 1000mm long and am trying to figure out the amount of flex based on a specific load and no support. I am not sure how to read the load calculations. Is it with support or without.
I ask this because I am assuming that when it's fastened to an extruded material the total load is based on combined support.
    thanks

I think they assume the rail is fixed, with no deflection.
I would not use it without support.

thanks, I am going to put a support. I wondered what the steel frame is able to support. tony

I would recommend registering at THKs website and downloading their manuals so you can read the recommended mounting procedures...

If there's any flex in the rail the BBs won't ride the races evenly and you won't achieve the rated load ans the races will prematurely wear.

    1 metre long?
    I suggest a MINIMUM of steel box section 50 x 50 x 4, although 50 x 50 x 6 would be much better.
You are strongly advised to get the critical face(s) (for the rails) machined flat first.

Note that welding can cause warping. Not good!

    I did have some joy from 63 x 63 x 6.3, way back when.

    Cheers
