    Help identifying a resistor

Anyone know what the specs for this resistor might be. It's about 13mm long and 5.5mm dia and has 47R 5% written on it.

5% is the tolerance, it could be 47 Ohms. I looks like its OK, can you check the value with a meter?

Wattage is not sure.use 3W.mor wattage usage is not a problem.

It looks like a 3w to 5w to me, I would use a 5w be on the safe side 47Ω.
