    the vfd control

    hi all,
i am using a 4.5 kw spindle motor controlled by a vfd in my stepper motor based cnc wood router.
the mech 3 controller card installed provides a pwm to 10 volt analogue signal for speed control. and a single pin for on off of the motor
so when on off pin is high and proper pwm is received by circuit it generates 10 volt analog signal according to it.
my doubt is, how the card is capable of doing it with only one input pin.??
or the circuit is doing it based on pwm??
or it requires a different input for it.

Not sure if I understand, but it is possible they are using the same common if there are two conductors for the analogue, either way you need a common terminal of some kind.

my doubt is whether i require two saperate signals , one for motor on off relay and one for giving pwm? becoz i am rotating motgor with vfd settings which requires a contact to be short for motor on off control and a 10volt analogue signal for speed control.
