    Fanuc I/O A20B-1000-0940 Bad Output

I have one of these that has a bad out put because of short on the turret and I have a couple questions.

Is there a specific part on that board that would go bad after a short.

Second if I buy another board I notice there are several different revisions out there. Mine is a 0940/04B. I see /02B all the way to /06B available. Are they all created equal.

Last is there such a thing as a spare out put on that board and a way to change it over to another.

    Thanks Gary

Its OK to use a higher Revision number, for an output board a lower number is worth a try. Lower number = lower rev.
There is such a thing as switching output boards to a location that does not use the bad section. The last board usually is not fully used.

There is just one board thought it might be possible to actually switch out puts on that board but it doesn't look likely.

I would sure like to get a schematic of that board if anyone has it.

    Thanks Gary

Well I went ahead and bought a used board and it should be here in a couple of days.

It looks pretty much plug and play, is there anything on this board that is specific to my machine and has to be swapped from the old to the new, or just plug it in and go?

    Thanks Gary
