I've got an old Acroloc and I am machining a contour. I need to repeat this 6 spots and do a perimeter cut 1" deep in aluminum with a 3/8" mill. I could write a sub routine, but I can also use M99 Pxxx to go to a program line number. I can add an incremental Z move and just loop the cuts I've got programmed, but then I need a way to break out of the loop.

N10 contour 1
N100 end at start position
N110 Increment Z
N40 M99 P10

Any thoughts?

Well, screwed the pooch on this one..... I just went ahead and did a sub routine. Went to test it and while on the program page decided to clean out an old program to free up some space. Opened up the obsolete program O2317, hit delete, and shot myself in the foot. All programs were deleted. Don't know what I did wrong, but my RS232 won't read in so everything is keyed in.
So I started over cleaning up the program and typing it in.
O0001 (main) for the main
O0002 (sub1) for the first Sub
Tried testing O0001 and get Start Aborted
The upper right of the screen shows O0000 N000000 so i wonder if program is loaded? I can look at both programs and each one starts with O0001 (main) on the first line. I think thats where I'm messing up..... what a maroon......

Yep, program wasn't loaded. That will teach me to be gone for 4yrs....
Good news is using G91 and subroutines is saving time and space!
