Immediate need for full time CNC Machinists for Vertical Mills and/or Lathes

The candidate shall have the ability to setup and operate CNC mills and/or lathes. You are not required to program complex geometries, but you must be able to write your own programs for drilling a couple holes, facing, and the like. Perform in-process quality inspections of own work and make adjustments as needed.
Technical requirements:
• Experience with Haas CNC vertical mills and/or Haas CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, some with geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Must be able to read and edit G Code programs.
• Experience with all standard inspection gages, micrometers, calipers and working with close tolerances is a must.
• Must be able to contribute to continuous improvement techniques to improve output, quality, cost and delivery.
• Needs to have your own tools and common hand gages.
• Manual machining experience with mills and lathes, for complementary support.
Professional requirements:
• Minimum 5 years experience not only operating CNC mills and/or lathes, but also with setups, edits, offsets and inspection to ensure product meets all quality specifications.
• Self-starter and require little or no supervision.
• Produce quality parts efficiently is essential.
• Needs to be highly detail oriented.
• Must be physically able to perform all aspects of the job, including but not limited to standing all day and lifting of fixtures, vices, and such up to 75lbs.
• Must be a team player and be comfortable working with other people with setups and production.
• Good work ethic and flexibility to work overtime is a must.

We are an established job shop and contract manufacturer. All CNC machines are Haas. The majority of parts we produce are from aluminum, 300 series stainless, steel and plastic, very occasionally an exotic plastic or tool steel. Production runs are generally less than 200 pieces, so the ability to transition from job to job in a timely manner is essential.

We are located in Plant City, Florida within 4 miles of I-4.
