i use l298 by there self all the time just get some from china you can get them for a dollar or more than the l298 and l297

I understand... your original Schematic looks fine and should work, just try to make sure your PCB complies with the Data sheet, why not just Download the reprap 1.2 PCB file and use it ? I know they call it obsolete now but it was working fine.

Is there a reason why you can't order parts from China on Ebay? Shipping is free but can take 2-6 weeks. I normally order parts ahead of time.

I recommend the tb6600 chip. The circuit is simpler than the l297/l298 and works much better. I consider the L297/l298 to be obsolete.

If i can do that should i get the tb 6600 or allegro chips like a3977 or newer?? Or pre-assembled polulu drivers??

I understand this is not a Political Forum, but Facts are Facts, I'm sorry that a person that wants to try to build an open source Product cannot get the required parts, what a bunch of Bull****, I feel sorry for the man, that he cannot get parts to use to enhance his education.

Right the L297/ L298 is old and considered obsolete (so am I ) it will still drive a stepper motor if that is all you can get, and in it's time was not a bad choice..... I agree with you the TB6600HG is much easier to work with and also better suited for the Motor that taalabash has.

No you gave no Offense to me, I was just Curious .... I understand what you mean now, I just wasn't thinking in those terms... but ya unfortunately there is prejudice every where, well I know people are here from all over the world and if they want electronic Help I'll do best I can to help, I don't care where or who they are if I think they are asking help for Educational reasons.

Just a silly thing I came across once was when I worked in Thailand they look at you like dirt in the area where I was working until they found out I was a kiwi you wont like the reason why just to say kiwi`s were not based in that area the pom`s yanks and auses where.

If i can get the TA8435H i will use it because it is a little bit similar to the tb6600 (that what i found)

Maybe it's hard to get some basic parts in here but i think that will let me learn alot about every circuit i want to build
And i think if i can get all parts easily like pre assembled drivers maybe then i will learn only wiring even without knowing how things works

I am trying to get my goal (3d printer) in every way i can and maybe in future we will be able to get parts like you over Internet or whatever... But i can't wait to then :-)

yes that TA8435H is a better choice.

The tb6600 is the best chip by far, if you can get it shipped to Syria.
The TA8435H is an older chip with inferior specs. The drv8825 ($2 full board) might be better.

There is no real reason, in fact it's done with other driver IC's all the time, in fact you could do the same thing with the TA8435H, if I was going to drive a stepper that needed 8 amps with the TA8435H then I would build a bridge of Power Mosfets on a Heat sink to drive the motor itself.

the L297 is just what folks call old Technology doesn't mean it's bad.

The L297 does not provide micro-stepping. That's the main reason why I think it's inferior.
