I just recently got back involded in my CNC table project after 3 years of letting it sit idle. I've gotten it to cut but my torch keeps lifting very high off the table. My voltage readout was 0 so i started looking at the wiring to the Plasma that I installed several years ago. I noticed that one of the voltage wires that connected to the DTHC card from CandCNC had came disconnected so I reconnected in and thought OK Problem Solved. But I wasn't solved I am now getting a Voltage readout of 1 or 2 Volts. So I removed the cover from the Hypertherm 1250 to take a look at the J15 and J16 connections and they were black with soot. Everything else on the Plasma seems to be working fine. Can someone please explain to me how to begin to diagnose and repair this problem.

Jim, The torch works fine other that no reading from J15 and J16. Could I just tie into the work lead and ground and get the same results? I downloaded the service manual and the J15 and J16 connections did not show on the drawings. I'm not qualified to make this repair but I work with several people who are. I'm just trying to obtain as much information as possible before I ask for their help
