    Laser Protection window?

So I'm trying to find a provider and recommendations for the right kind of window to replace the one that comes with the cheap Chinese laser cutters like the redsail cutters.

From what I have read a CO2 laser operates in the 10600nm or 360nm range. Now with my research I've found a few places that sell it as raw stock but they are asking $400+ dollars for a 12x24 sheet. I know I can get goggles but I'm hoping to just replace the window so I can just set it a forget it.

Am I on the right track? Do I have the right numbers? Got any vendors for either acrylic sheets or a film?

    Re: Laser Protection window?

any acrylic sheet will be sufficient to block any scattered laser radiation from regular CO2 laser. any color (or colorless) of any thikness , as long as it is sturdy enough to hold the ocasional tool you will leave on top of it.

unless i need special material for a job my source of acrylic is local big home improvement store.
