    LOOKING FOR ASH

I make plaques and like to use Ash because of it's grain and staining properties.

I'm looking for Clear Ash, Grade One. 5/4 thick and 8 to 8 1/2" wide. Does anyone have a good source? I live in
Texas in the DFW area and the selection is lousy at best. I'm not afraid to travel to get the quality Ash.

    Thanks in advance.

I contacted Barney Robinson Hardwoods, Fort Worth. No luck, they do not have it.

    Thanks for the attempt.

Is Ash hard to fine in Texas?
In Pennsylvania...of course it's all over the place. A new good friend of mine had an Ash tree taken down on his property and its now dry after a few years. I made him a cool Precision Bass with double black binding on my CNC and he gave me a bunch of 8/4.
    I f it's free! It's for me!
