    how to 2d print to gcode

    hey guys.
    i am new to the forums. excited to learn.
    i am very new to this but i have a few questions.

    at work we have some mazaks. all i have to do is put in the rough peace then tell it what i want for a finished product and bam. done. well kinda (you have to trick it alot)
    anyhow, is there a computer program that i cam make a 2d print ( it is just a tube with a few tapers, and a thread ) then the computer will wright a gcode program?

    you are obviously NOT a Mastercam user

    - CAM systems have not reached that point..... YET
    - you still need to have some input, e.g. true, actual size geometry ( a car drawn on an A4 sheet will not be made full size )
    tool selection, actual chains to be machined, holding method (can't machine where held ), order of operations ( turned before thread cut before parting off )
