I might be in the wrong forum here as I am a newbie, so guide me please if necessary.

I am in the process of converting a small but heavily build mill into CNC. I am new to CNC but not new to machine rebuilding, so my theory is do best I can first time.

I am very keen on the hybrid stepper motors and drivers from Leadshine as they seem to be just that little bit better than straight Stepper motors. I do understand that Mach does not support the feedback of the hybrids, but from what I can tell the controller does its best to get the best power and torque from the motors.

Servos would be first choice, but price and technicalities might be to much for me.

I have seen reviews of this system on youtube, but just a couple of dudes playing around on the workbench with the system. I am looking for someone that is using them with success in a small mill.

Who can help me??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
