Hello to everybody,
i have a problem with the siemens acramatic2100.
Am trying to pocket mill using G26.1 pocket milling.
But the diameter is coming out totally wrong,for example,trying to mill a 4 inch dia hole,the dia is coming out at 3.6 inchs.
Also using helical ramp it is leaving a small dia pip in the middle (easily solved with a seperate op)
As for the dia problem,have checked and rechecked all parameters,checked the tool table.
Is there a setting somewhere else that some one may have changed in the past,or do we have a software problem ?
We have tryed various dia's but with the same result,always coming out smaller than programmed.
Any help would be appreciated,

I agree with under the tire but I will say this, the 2100 uses your cutter comp on those cycles if I remeber right and if you input the data wrong it will affect the size of the holes. What was the size of your cutter? I the tool page there are two diameter fields. Take a look. at this it shows that if you put the diameter in both spots it doubles the cutter diameter which in turn would offset it by the diameter instead of the radius. Anyway did what I post help you out at all? I have 4 machines with this in my area and another guy has a bunch of the older 950 and 850 in his area but we mostly poke holes with them.
