    Opti BF20L CNC conversion

    Hi All,

I am looking at converting my bf20l to cnc. But I'm curious why the optimum ballscrew kit is a bolt on kit vs any other ballscrew kit which requires milling the Y table? is it the fact the ballscrew nut is bigger? cant you just machine the ballscrew nut instead of the table?

    Cheers,

    Re: Opti BF20L CNC conversion

Anyway I got my CNC Nema34 Motors today. Im wrapped.. I got a breakout board with it and I will probably use it.. But At the moment for testing and a big maybe, I have it hooked up to an Arduino running GRBL and it works!

The ramp up speed and slow down speed is rather slow.. So I found $120,121,122 are the acceleration settings which I have stepped up to 50
the max rate they can run is around 7000 to 7500.. 900 each axis stalls seperately.. and at 8000 when running 2 axis they stall.. so probably 7000 is good

Anyway I hope this helps.. ill put up pics soon
