    4 Axis Cam Software

Presently I do not use a cam processor. Manually code, w/ Mach3 wizard addon.

The more complex the jobs get, the harder it is to write code correctly.

I have an A axis, mostly used on the horizontal.

I may write 10 jobs a yr for the 4th axis.
Is there an inexpensive, get by, cam software w/ 4 axis ?
or would it be more conducive to pay someone for the code ? if so, who ?

What kind of jobs are you looking to do? If you send me a personal message I might be able to help you out if your looking to get the files created.

Take a look at DeskProto; it has support for the 4th axis in continuous and indexing modes as well as general CAM functions. It's inexpensive, especially for hobbyists, and easy to use. You can download it and use it free for a month.
