    Drip Feed HM-600 from DNC

    Hello

What needs to be available on an OKK HM-600 Fanuc 160i control in order to Drip Feed from our DNC? Our CNC programs are starting to get too large to store in the control's memory.

    Thanks in Advance

You need a cable with hardware flow control wires. Of course, you need a software that can work in this mode.
AGG Software. DNC Precision and CNC Syntax Editor software.

Thanks for the info. Is there a specific setting on the control that tells the control not to load the program into control memory and that the program will be fed by DNC?

You can also use sub programs stored in a memory card and called using M198 !
This expands the memory but runs at control speed instead of a DNC connection speed and alot cheaper
