Changing tool height ofsets and re-runing program

I was running a program and after it finished I wanted to go another .020" deeper. I went to the tool offset menu and changed the height offset of the tool by .020" (from -11.560 to -11.540) and re-ran the program. It should have cut .020" deeper correct? I even changed to a different tool before running the program again and nothing changed. I think I went the proper direction with the offset, but nothing. I know I have done this before and it worked, but what is wrong now.

    Thanks,

    Scott

    Scott,
That change will make the tool run 0.020 higher in Z!

The offset should have been -11.580! Algbraic addition-- a minus number added to another minus number results in a larger minus number. Remember if you want to Z to go DOWN that is a minus direction.

Yes, you are correct. It had been a long day with alot of geometric calculations by hand to get placement of some 45 degree holes on an altered print. Sorry for a brain dead post.

    Thanks,

    Scott
