    Question HY-TB268-N6 Diode problems

can someone help me with the issue I'm having with the driver.

the diode closest to the dipswitches keeps becoming unsoldered, I haven't been able to run a complete program without this happening to at least one on the axis mainly the x-axis

I have the dipswitches set at 2.5A for my nema 23 motors.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is the reason the diode keeps coming un-soldered?

Are you not using the correct solder? For electronics you should be using at a minimum 63/37 solder, or whatever is the equivalent in non-leaded solder.

Is it getting so hot it's melting the solder? If that's the case, you have other problems with way too much current if it's heating the leads of the diode so much the solder is melting.

What voltage is your power supply? Are you sure the current is actually 2.5A? Low voltage + high current can cause the diode to overheat.

That diode prevents damage in case you accidentally reversed the power supply. But it increase the chance of damage from voltage spikes. I normally replace it with a fuse.
