Hi all.
Today i recieved 2 stepper motors from a friend who pulled apart an industrial sewing machine. Was wanting to use them in my plasma cutter im currently building but need assitance finding the right driver boards and power supply. If anyone could point me in the right direction or link an ebay item that would suit it would be most appreciated.

Have you measured the resistance between the wires?

I'm going to guess it's somewhat high and that this motor will be very high inductance = strong, but slow.

How many wires?

Thanks for the reply. I managed to get the power supply unit from the guy but unfortunately the driver are somewhere on the other end of a chopped lead somewhere.
They are 5 wire. 5 phase im sure.
Got a sparky coming today to finish the shed wiring so ill borrow his multis and get a reading. Mine seem to have gone walkabout in the move.
