Question Looking for help with LinuxCNC - Y and Z axis not moving

    Good day all:

I am having problems with a home built router running under LinuxCNC with a Chinese Toshiba based controller.

The problem is that I can move all three in the configuration / set up ap, however when I try to move the axis under manual control in the LinuxCNC program, only the X axis will respond to the key strokes ( <- -> ).

I am assuming that the axis are configured somewhat correctly, since I am able to move them in the test mode.

Does anyone know what I am missing?

    Thanks in advance
    Neil

I had the same problem with my Z-axis.

It turned out I had entered travel the wrong way. instead of entering -1 to 95 I entered 95 to -1 (or the other way around)

Got it - finally. Turns out that the Stepconf wizard is not all that bright when it comes to creating the hal file.. It assigns xenable to all 3 axis pins, and additionally takes it upon its self to invert some of the pins.

Cleaned this up, and finally have a machine that I can start learning on.
