    Chinese Machines

Hi, I`m new to the forum and to cnc router machines.
I`m considering buying my first cnc router.
Looking at Omni or XYZ tech from China as their prices are reasonable.

    9kw HSD Linear atc

Any advise on what I should look out for?
Is there somebody using either one of these machines in SA?

Thanks in advance for advice and for a great forum.

I bought a 1212 from China from SaleCNC. no issues. Watch out for shipping. I would suggest getting a shipping agent that can do the slog for you and have it delivered to your door. It cost a bit more but I got it!

I would ask for a Mach3 controller and Software instead of the NC Studio the Chinese machines usually come with...and ball screws on all axis.

I am converting to mach3 because my pc with the ncstudio controller card was stolen so I want to switch to a laptop so I need usb hence mach3. However ncstudio was rock solid for 3 years

Surprisingly I also have found NCStudio to be absolutely rock solid over the years, never once a hint of a glitch.

    cheers, Ian
It's rumoured that everytime someone buys a TB6560 based board, an engineer cries!

I bought my machine from Jinang Glatt and I am very happy with it. Shout if you would like the contact details. I also used a local shipping agent to sort out the entire transaction. I paid them for the machine, shipping and transport to my house. They handled everything.
