Connecting encoder with kflop and snapamp with closed loop mode

    hi

I'm planning tout setup brushed motor with kflop ans snapamp and use them un closed loop.

I was wondering if I need tout connect the motor's encoders to thé kflop board AND the snapamp board too or just to the snapamp board ?

I think encoders must ne connected to the two boards because one will setup the closed loop and thé other will synchonize thé step/dit pulses ...

I have not see any example of this configuration un help section

    Thanks you for help !

You will only need to wire your encoders to snapamp. With snapamp there is no step/dir needed. It is pwm. Just hook up the encoders and motors power. You will need to run a short c program to initialize snapamp. The info to do this is in the snapamp section of the help files. Then configure your axis in the configuration and flash screen in kmotion.exe. Then tune your motors and set your velocity acceleration and jerk parameters in the step response screen.

    Hi rdpdo,

No. KFLOP can read data from SnapAmp through the 16pin ribbon connection including encoder positions, bridge driver currents, supply voltage, I/O, temperatures, etc.
