I currently operate a hpr 260 with an auto gas console and edge 2 controller. Just recently there is an issure with cut quality when cutting at 80A and 130A. When cutting 12mm plate at 130A the edge is not smooth. It has quite a jagged edge all the way along. All my consumables are correct and gas pressures are set as they should be. One thing i notice is that the machine does not sound as if its cutting smooth. ( i dont hear the consistent whistle that i do hear at 200A)
This makes me think that there may be a fluctuation in the cut gas. I cant seem to get to the bottom of this issue. Is there valves or anything that may need changed in the gas console? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Most likely there are some issues within the gas flow circuitry, although ensure that you have the correct stack up of consumable parts in your torch, verify by checking the part numbers with the operators manual, and that the parts are genuine Hypertherm parts. Best bet....as always....is to contact Hypertherm technical service. The techs that answer the phones are very well trained, very friendly and it is their top priority to get your system operating normally as quickly as possible.
