Has any one done a CNC X1 conversion

    Hello all,

Can anyone point me in the direction of plans or a thread that discusses converting a Sieg X1 mill to CNC. I Have tried searching the forum but the search engine seems to ignore words of three characters or less, thus making hard to search for "X1" and "CNC"

Hi ya, I have a CNC'ed X1 - I got the kit from cncfusion.com which was very easy to fit and works very well! It's not the cheapest, but it oozes quality, and having seen the prices of the individual bits like flexible couplers and thrust bearings etc, it's easy to see where the money went.

That said, now that I do have a CNC'ed X1, if or when I go for something larger, I will use the X1 to make some custom motor mounts

You want the moderated group as the unmoderated has been left to the spammers.

What can I say, excellent. Many thanks for all the pointers. I now have a bit of reading to do.

    Cheers all.
